Peace out 2009

I will miss 2009 'cause:
*My baby was still a baby
*My black bare-trap wedges finally bit the dust
*Maddie (our dog) didn't have a HUMGO lump on her leg (her lady lumps)
*The T.O. show
*One more year behind me
*5 year Wedding Anniversary with Jer-Bear
*Special moments with girlfriends

I will not miss 2009 'cause:
*Ear infections
* 2 sets of tubes
*Broken Collar Bone
*3 flat tires in like one month
*Georgia's horrible season
*Ulcer on my cornea

I'm looking forward to 2010 'cause:
*All the future conversations my son and I will have on the way home from school
*Brock's 3rd birthday party
*Disney World Trip
*Summer Vacation with friends and family
*Upcoming birth of several sweet friends' babies
*Using my new camera all the time
*Romantic getaways with my husband
*I have everything I need to make me happy

I've learned this year:
*don't sweat the small stuff
*a collarbone is the best bone to break
*Tubes in the ear = happy baby
*You never want your kids to grow up
*The older you get the faster time goes
*A true friend is there when you need them
*Spontaneity is the spice of life
*Stand firm behind decision you make-even if it wasn't the right one
*Happiness is what you make it
*I'm blessed to have a giving family
*I'm blessed to have a patient husband
*I'm blessed to have a healthy family
*Life is short-make it happy
*When your mad-SING, SING, SING (Chris Tomlin).
*Soften your face when disciplining your child
*You can't change other people, just yourself.

Happy New Year!

The Superhero

There is a superhero at our house. We are so lucky to have him save us from "bad guys". This superhero is way cuter than Superman or any other hero I've seen. I am pretty sure he will always be my favorite superhero!

This superhero is very careful not to let his identify be known to everyone...

The cape is the most important accessory to the superhero. This hero's "tape" often doubles as a dishcloth to clean up any messes that this hero may make. He doesn't want to leave home without it....

This superhero comes with mis-matched "rocket powered" shoes. These shoes allow him to RUN super fast...often in circles. Also, these special shoes have to be charged at night (seriously-that is straight from the superhero himself).

This superhero's hat is "magic" too! It must be that moose on the front, but either way it completes the whole superhero wardrobe. It is a necessity to this superhero.

He is in awe of the tree. This superhero appreciates Christmas decorations like no other!
I must add that this superhero's outfit was all by his choice, the hat, cape and shoes were chosen by the hero himself. He lets us know that the superhero is in the house by running up to us, with hands in fists on his hips and saying "Tuper Hero is here!". He also feels that S and C sounds are over rated, so they have a T sound!
I have NO idea where he came up with this, but it was so precious! I am so glad I was able to capture it in the camera and video!

Santa-- I waaaaannntt....

The Christmas season has me in the mood for family, eating and Christmas music...not blogging. So pardon my lack of...All 15 of you that read!

Brock totally loved seeing Santa this year. The line was a little backed up-what a shocker right. But he was such a patient fella waiting his turn. The wait time gave Santa a little time to stretch his legs and greet all the kiddos. So Brock got some unusually one on one time with St. Nick. He asked for a "BBIIIIIIIGGGG moda-cycle (aka motorcycle)". Brock even demonstrated how big he wanted it with his hands. I sure hope Santa pulls through on that big modacycle!
Here he comes...I figured he would wig out...but he was very excited!

I am hoping Mrs. Claus puts some WhiteStrips in her hubby's stocking! eww. Totally bad sign when your beard is whiter than your teeth.

If only....

hmmmm.....if only.....
Also, if only his hand didn't look so freaky!

He should of paid a bit more attention...

I have a nightly routine (because I live for routines) to get ready for bed. I usually take out my contacts, get a shower, and then put on my glasses and sit in front of the computer. When I take out my contacts I am left sightless...seriously I can't see anything! So that is why I never see the shower scum and miss that streak of hair on my legs...but anyway...

Tonight I took a shower and didn't take out my contacts. It was a whole new world. I could actually see what I was reaching for instead of a blur of colors. It only took me about 10 seconds to realize that my precious husband has been using a DISH RAG for his washrag! EEEWWWWW....There it was, hung right beside my real washrag...I just busted out laughing and began to think...he has no clue that this is the dish rag that I have once used to scrub pots and pans. It happens to be the same color as alot of our bathroom towels (tan), so I know he has no clue that this rag is not for bathing, but scrubbing!

So which is worse? To use your washrag as a dishrag or a dishrag as your washrag...

BTW-In small town USA a washrag is also known as a wash-cloth!

Picture Post

This weekends was full of first...including my first weenie roast...but we'll get to that later!

This was the FIRST time in a long time that the Florida Georgia fame fell on Halloween. So we "kicked off" the weekend with high hopes that our Dawgs could pull some magic and beat those darn eye gauging-gators, but we didn't. At least we did have a good time at our lil football party!
Brock and Gracelyn

Papa (Jeremy's Dad) Jeremy, Steven

Then it was time to get the pirate dressed...It literally took all I had to not beat this child to get him to be still to get dressed...

Look at that frustration on my face and the pure joy on Brock's
Finally we got him dressed.

Then Colleen (Brock's cousin) came to Trick or Treat with us...She is 3 1/2.

As you can see from the shine on their faces it was really HOT! But they had a good time. This was the first year Brock could say "Tick or Teet" and Tank you...

Afterwards, they had the best time just playing in the AC. Brock had to keep his costume on...later we had cake for Nana's (Jeremy's mom) Birthday.

Stay tuned for my first hot dog roast that happened on Sunday...I'll leave you with this precious picture!

Excited...

Tonight will be like Christmas Eve or the first day of school for me. I will NOT be able to sleep due to the amount of excitement that tomorrow has in store for me because I am getting one of these.....................................................................................Afterwards...this girl will be smiling from ear to ear! Then, I'll be scratchin' my head trying to figure out how to work it!

Elmo

Last Saturday we took Brock to see Sesame Stree Live. We bought tickets Thursday afternoon (that is so not like me...I think I felt sorry for him and his broke collarbone and all) and we actually got on the FRONT ROW! Go figure...

This was the first time that we had taken Brock to a live show. I really liked it...Brock LOVED it and Jeremy well...you know!

I couldn't resist posting these pictures. He looks so old here...and pretty darn cute too!

Lovin' on my Brocky!
Intermission=Snack time

My favorite Sesame Team-Bert and Ernie

Nana (Jeremy's mom) came with us...she really loved seeing Brock get so excited over the characters.

Pumpkin pickin' with a sling...

Looks like this year we will be pumpkin' pickin' with this sling on. Saturday night my child decided to pull a Buzz Lightyear and jump off his bed and landed either on his dresser or his toy box. Either way the end result was a 3 hour trip to the kids ER and a broken collar bone. Looks like we'll be in this sling for at least 4 weeks. He is taking it VERY WELL! Better than me of course (who cried herself to sleep Saturday night). Mr. Independent won't let a broken collar bone stop him. He is feeding himself with his left hand, wanting to skateboard and continues to run through our tiled house without a care. As you can see from the pictures he is doing good! I have a feeling this will not be the last broken bone this child has (fingers crossed though).

This was the sling the ER gave us...big enough for an adult and they gave it to a TWO YEAR OLD!
Thank goodness we have connections! Courtney (my cousin's wife) works at the children's hospital and got him one that fits!

He still has his left hand for other important jobs (like picking his boogers)!
