Jon and Kate...

In less than 20 minutes Jon and Kate Plus 8 premieres on TLC. Jeremy and I have watched since the first season. I can't believe all the rumors that are going around. Now everyone is hatin' on Kate b/c she actually looks good...They says she has gone Hollywood. They are raggin' on her for going to the tanning bed and getting her nails done...Yeah...that's is pretty Hollywood (pppsshh)! We have tanning and nail salons in my little dinky red-necky town! Maybe since she has 8 kids and they are finally old enough she actually has some time to get a mani and a spray tan...I think she can be a a tad bit over bearing, but how can you judge her?!? The WOMAN HAS 8 KIDS!!!! I'd be hateful most of the time too!

May 22, 2004

Yesterday, May 22nd, was mine and Jeremy's 5th wedding Anniversary! It is so hard to believe that it has been 5 years. He told that we weren't gonna get each other anything, because next weekend we are going out of town. So I didn't. I just got him a card. He, on the other hand, had a few tricks up his sleeve. Friday afternoon he sent me a surprise email to let me know that he had arranged a babysitter and to get ready 'cause we were going out to eat. Then I got these at school:

Then he surprised me with reservations here for dinner...It was so Yummy! I wish I could of eaten more! This was the best anniversary so far! The best part is next Friday we leave for a 3 day for a trip to Ormond Beach, FL! This will be the first time we have left Brock for more than one night....I have mixed emotions...but anyway!

I can't believe that all of this happened 5 years ago!

Rehearsal Dinner...turned sideways...sorry!

Left to Right-Jessica, Shannon, Laura, Me, Becky-I graduated HS with all these girlies!

We had the best time dancing it up!

Obviously he said something retarded!

Picture Perfect!

My cake and the groom in the background!

This was our view as we were getting married! A sailboat in the background.

The happy groom!

The relieved bride...pictures were OVER!

We really had the best, prettiest, most perfect wedding EVER! I may be a little biased...but you know! It is something I'll never forget!
Happy Anniversary Jeremy...I know you secretly read my blog!

Have you seen this kid?

You probably have not seen Caillou because he is at my house from the hours of 4pm-7pm. So I have a few questions for you, Caillou, since you refuse to leave my living room!

1. Why did your parents name you Caillou? What kind of name is that?

2. Why is your name so weird and your sister's name is Rosie?

3. Where is your hair?

4. What is the deal with your obsession of primary colors. EVERYTHING (parents, house, clothes) is primary colors? Did you realize you can get new colors if you mix some of those primary ones?? Ugghh!

5. Why are you always dressed in shorts and t-shirts, but the rest of your family and friends is in long sleeves? Are you cold blooded? Why do they love primary colors like you?

6. Why is Leo a tad on the pudgy side?

7. Who is the old lady that narrates your show and tells us all your private thoughts!? She sounds like she could kick the bucket any day!

8. Why is my son put into a trance by your weirdness?

Maybe you can pick up the heavy amounts of sarcasm, but really, this is the weirdest show every...and the bad part is my kid LOVES it! Does that make him weird too?!?

If you've never had the pleasure of watching Caillou, it comes on PBS @ 12:30...Watch it and tell me it's NOT the weirdest cartoon ever!

Where did it ALL come from?

I looked around my house and realized I'm living in a stikin' toy factory. We have toys in EVERY room. I knew I had to do something and Target put this organizer on sale that I had been eyeing for a while. So I put like toys together and this is what we got...

Now who knows how long this organizational mayhem will last...

I seem to have toys in every room...but at least they are now properly contained and for the most part out of sight. See what I mean...

Playroom

Brock's toy box located in his room. This is a shelf in his room, too. This is in our living room.

A very wise woman (Aunt Jaci) told me if you let it (toys), they will take your house over..Boy was she right! I just keep thinking...where did all this crap come from?? And why do I keep buying more?

Before I was a Mom..

I can totally realte to this poem. If you're a mom...you will too!

Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on..
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.!
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom .

I am so blessed to know what it is like to be a Mommy....Especially to this little one.

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! I hope you did too! The best moment was when Brock snuggled up to me this morning and said in the sweetest voice: " I love you too Mama". He hears us say I love you too and so he says that before we even tell him that we love him. Soooooo precious!

Teacher Appreciation Week

It is Teacher Appreciation Week in FL this week. Our school district sent us information where business are honoring teachers. JoAnn Fabric was the only store I really liked (but since there were only TWO stores it wasn't hard to pick). But anyway, you can go here to sign up for a Teacher Card and you'll get 15% off future purchases with this card...That is pretty good. They have tons of cute seasonal decor and great picture frames. I think you can be a teacher in any state too!

A-okay and Promised Pics

Thanks for all your comments! Your prayers came shining through! Brock did well, better than last time and Dr. says everything looked good. Thankfully, they only did one ear. Thanks Marella (get a blog already girl!) and Tara for your sweet messages checking on Brock. It is so sweet to work with people like you (what am I gonna do next year without ya'll nearby??). I am so thankful for your friendships!

So the little guy did great and today we just laid around...Brock napped for nearly 4 hours! World record, I know! I got alot of stuff done and realized how much I want to be a stay at home mom. I had to clean my house because on Monday's Jean comes and cleans and since Brock and I were home I told her I would see her the next time...and my house couldn't wait for Jean to come...So I had to mop, dust, and vacuum...I actually enjoyed it...but not enough to do it every week!

Here are pictures from the beach...We are going on vacation in July for two weeks at the beach....and it is gonna be so much fun! Brock kept saying, "I love it!" and letting out occasional squeals. The best part is how great Daddy plays and I get to sit back and chill. How 'bout we ran into our family (Aunt Cheryl Lynn and cousin Colleen and Cheryl's niece Macy!) so they set up shop by us and we had a great time!

Colleen and Macy (left to right). Macy is Colleen's cousin. Brock and Colleen are cousins and they are 9 months apart. Just like me and my cousin Dan.

No fear son!!!
Happy Monday!

Sunday, May 3

Here we go AGAIN...

After a great weekend of the beach and the pool (pictures to come) we are getting ready for the day we thought we would never see...Please pray for Brock. We are going Monday morning (6:15am) for Brock to have his left tube (and possibly right tube) re-done. The left tube has not worked properly(ear infection and stays clogged) and they want to re-do it. Only my child...however, I am so thankful that his is ALL we have to deal with. We know we are blessed! Thanks in advance for your prayers...ohh please pray extra that he doesn't ask for chocolate milk....
